The hotel bookings in Washington DC for the weekend of the Rally to Restore Sanity/March to Keep Fear Alive have now surpassed those from the weekend of the Glenn Beck Rally held in August.
Nor only that, but the Facebook group for the Rally to Restore Sanity now has over 188,000 people 'attending', compared to the 184,000 'attending' for Glenn Beck's rally on the day of the rally.
With still 26 days to go before the event, the Rally to Restore Sanity is already attracting more followers than Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally. If this many people have already announced their interest then how many people will become interested in the subsequent weeks?
These rallies on October 30th will most definitely break the Guinness Book of World Records on the largest political satire event. It is the hope of many that Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's rally will wake up the moderate middles who usually don't care enough about the politics to even vote. Many hope this day will be the turning point for America, where they will reject the Tea Party and Leftist extremists alike and get back to the business of the average American. Instead of focusing on the 5% of extremists on either side of the political spectrum the rally intends to bring the moderates back into the limelight.
