Entertainment for Honolulu Rally to Restore Sanity

The satellite Honolulu Rally to Restore Sanity is going to be jammed packed with entertainment! The following list of entertainers is taken directly from the Honolulu Rally site:

Star 101.9 FM personality Maleko will Emcee

  • Kumu hula Charlani Kalani - Traditional Hawaiian welcome (Halau Ha'a Hula 'O Kekau 'Ilani Na Pua Hala O'Kailua)
  • Shannon Winpenny - Comedian (Laughtrack Theater Company)
  • Mojo Comedy Team, including Mike Hall - Comedian (ComedyHawaii.com)
  • Makana - Singer-guitarist-composer
  • Invisible Monsters - Indie/jam musicians
  • Shopping List - Rock band (playing a rare acoustic set)
  • Christine Gomes - Singer/songwriter
  • The Cherry Blossom Cabaret - Vaudeville/dance/cabaret
More people will likely be added to the list of entertainers by the end of the week.

Additionally, the Honolulu Rally will have a few politicians in attendance. That's right, politicians, but they will take part in a most ingenious non-political way (click below to view rest of post):

The politicians will be called up on stage where they will pull a question out of a grab bag. The questions will be non-political and designed by comedians. The politician will have to answer the question in front of the audience. The idea behind this is for the audience to see the HUMAN side of the politician, instead of the political mask that they constantly wear. This will allow the audience to relate to the politicians and recognize that contrary to popular belief, not all politicians are evil.

The politicians that are currently listed as attending are as follows:

Cam Cavasso (R) - US Senator Candidate
Chris Lee (D) - 51st Representative District
John Willoughby (R) - US Congressional Candidate
